About
Hi, my name is Mary Ann. I'm a teacher/banker/blogger who would love to retire as a farmer. Welcome to our blog! Our Dragonfruit Story is a farm diary of Maryland Dragonfruit Gardens.
It is a window to our farm. This is where we reach out to all dragon fruit enthusiast and growers worldwide. Two years ago I dreamed of retiring as a farmer, living in a small hut, having coffee and breakfast in the middle of the garden. I realized this dream way too early.
Our garden is located in San Agustin, Tagum City, Davao Del Norte, Philippines. The Philippines is a tropical country. Our climate is very conducive with farming almost any type of fruit. As a kid, I grew eating and harvesting fruits.
When I fell in love with dragon fruit I immediately decided to study as we grow it. I never stopped learning ever since. I obliged myself to enroll to GU (google university), and cross enrolled to SU (self university) to broaden my knowledge. I engrossed myself reading hundreds of articles and videos from different websites. I did a lot of field trips and searches. Spoke to growers online and offline. Way back then no single blog provides everything I need to know about dragon fruit.

So, I set myself that goal to accumulate knowledge and apply them to our farm. Made a list of what works and share it here. Like our garden, this blog is a dream in progress. Now I would like to inspire those who dreamed of having a garden too.
Like our farm, this about page is a work in progress. Will update this from time to time. Need to get in touch? Click here.
