Lady of the Night
My love story with dragon fruit started by accident way back 2015. Yes, you read that right. It was the most beautiful accident in my life. Look how I describe that word on a positive light! So, let me tell you my story. I might have narrated this on our Facebook farm page years ago but I will try it on a different perspective.
My mom ask me to go to Ilocos, Norte because of some errands I need to do for her. I have some relatives there but don't personally know them. The do it yourself traveler in me don't rely to relatives most of the time for directions. I'm the typical independent and carefree wanderer who can ride the bus with a backpack and a mobile device. Since I love google so much, you know the first step I did. I went online and type how to go to Ilocos, Norte.
While online I bump to a blog like this that narrated a story about a recent travel to a dragonfruit farm. I can't recall the name of the blog anymore. All I could remember was the beautiful flower I saw. As beautiful as this picture below. And the rest was history. I spent that whole Saturday (and the following days...) reading and researching about this gorgeous lady of the night.

Are they lovely? No, they're gorgeous like a lady blooming with her sisters on her 16th birthday. The Lady of the Night. (Red and white Dragon fruit have this flower.)
I find this picture magical.
Look at those clear drops of water.
She looks like a fairy.
She's a Lady of the night, blooming under the moonlight.
Hi friends! Welcome to our blog.
This will be our window to the world. I believe you agree with me that the lady of the night is beautiful. Lady of the night is a nick name for a dragon fruit flower, simply because it blooms at night. You have only seen white petals for now.
Here's the deal:
I promise to show more colorful varieties soon. If you like the color pink for a flower, then I guess you'll get hooked and start your very own garden too. So, that's the clue for my next post!
